Today we spent the day with 50+ juveniles at Gulu Remand Home. We sang, danced, acted, ate, and laughed. Because what is Christmas without joy?. These are our children many of whom will spend the holidays in detention. Grateful to our partners & an electric performance by Kamau.
Today, we paused—not for others, but for ourselves. A refreshing Staff Training & Wellness Check-In at Skylark Park gave us space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect.
We were reminded that mental health matters even for changemakers. We are stepping into July as healed healers 💚
Children grow not only from the lessons we teach, but from the love we show. They mirror our actions more than our words. When we model kindness, they learn compassion. When we model resilience, they learn courage. When we model humility, they learn to grow with grace.
When we stay positive, we not only uplift ourselves but also inspire those around us. A kind word, a hopeful attitude, or a simple act of encouragement can transform someone's day and create ripples of change.
@OjokOkot_@PoliceUg Honestly, the entire situation raises more questions than answers. Could it all be a PR move for Alien Skin and Pallaso to promote their music?
@LuckyMbabazi It's a reminder of the need to prioritize teaching emotional intelligence to our children. This equips them to challenge traditional African norms that often suppress emotional expression, fostering healthier relationships and balanced decision-making in our evolving societies.
@OjokOkot_ The Ministry of Education's new school feeding program could be transformative if well executed. However, without proper planning and stakeholder involvement, it risks being another rushed, borrowed idea aimed at pre-election excitement.
@OjokOkot_@LoremiTours@ElephanteComns Climate change and environmental destruction affect us all, transcending borders and generations. It is imperative that we embrace collective responsibility as individuals, communities, and institutions Our actions today will determine the legacy we leave for future generations.
@okwonga_alfred If killing a rat in your house requires the Presidents intervention, then what's your purpose. Ming keken. Wa lok ma omyero Abiro pe oro Iye inongo cawa weng ni Museveni intervene. In tici ngo. Uwek lano Dano. 2026 is around the corner. Dok odugi
@OjokOkot_ Cultural events are meant to celebrate heritage, unity, and identity. However, when they become platforms for political agendas or financial gain, their core purpose can be diluted.
Education is the bridge to a brighter future, yet many children in Uganda face barriers to accessing it. Together, we can break these barriers and empower the next generation with the tools they need to thrive. Every child deserves the chance to learn and dream. #EducationForAll
The coffee bill debate in Uganda's Parliament highlights a troubling trend: policy discussions devolving into sectarian undertones. Instead of addressing economic equity and farmer empowerment, the narrative risks deepening societal divides.
