Net Worth updates - August 1, 2026
We've reached $394,111 (+31.5% YoY)
This comes after a brief pullback in the month of May & a fairly stagnant June, both as a result of legal expenses (wife immigration process) and home improvement expenses
I'm looking forward to August being a more normalized month (hopefully) in terms of expenses so that I can put some extra cash towards the student loan payments & our emergency fund
Hoping we will see $400k+ by the end of the month!
Net Worth Tracker updated for April 2026
May 1st, 2026 Net Worth = $369,670
MoM increase = +$22,382 ๐คฏ (largest positive change since Nov 2024)
YoY increase = +$121,648
- Debt levels remained nearly unchanged but assets increased significantly
- Most asset increases were investment accounts, predominantly the Roth IRA which benefited from appreciation + 2025 contributions
- Home values in the Providence area remained fairly steady, so insignificant changes to the rental property values
May 2026 is going to be filled with a lot of maintenance expenses and CapEx improvements for the rental properties, so I don't expect to see much improvement on paper... But we will see!
Current portfolio set-up. Striking a balance between boring active & passive funds, and individual stock picking.
Still heavy on the semiconductor/AI-infrastructure trade but trying to keep the individual stocks <50% of the portfolio.
$INTC $HOOD $META $CRWV $IREN $GEV are my largest individual positions.
Finally out of $CMG
My July $37.50โs expired out of the money, and last week I had another $37.50 call expire just out of the money.
About $200 of premium collected between the two contracts.
Today we gapped up, so I took the opportunity to close out the $CMG shares at $37.91 instead of playing around with more covered calls.
After collecting premiums & holding for over a year, Iโve probably just about broken even on this trade ๐
Close to adding to $CRWV? ๐ค
They have a massive backlog against a GPU-constrained market, trading at a valuation discount to neocloud peers, and has seen expanding contracts, financing, and diversification beyond hyperscaler dependence
I feel like around $85, the juice is worth the squeeze...
Got caught up at work and missed $IREN just a hair below $40 ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ
Was looking to double up my LEAPS position by rolling some $$$ out of my $IGF allocation.
#Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty left practice early after suffering an apparent knee injury.
During the team period, he was diving for a catch and landed awkwardly. He was helped off the field by trainers and couldnโt put any pressure on his right leg.
Entire team took a knee and said a prayer.
We don't have enough power.
AI chip-driven electricity demand is projected to surge to a record ~315 gigawatts globally by 2033.
That would represent an increase of more than +1,100% since 2025.
The US is expected to account for ~64% of this new AI electricity demand, or ~200 GW.
Meanwhile, AI data centers are also putting huge strain on power infrastructure.
During model training, hundreds of thousands of GPUs can power up and down simultaneously, causing electricity usage to spike as much as 50% above design capacity.
These sharp power swings can accelerate wear on batteries, generators, cooling systems, and other critical infrastructure, increasing maintenance and replacement costs.
We need new energy infrastructure.
