I’m bored so I’ll entertain this rage bait.

Skub won back to back Cy Young’s, and in those two seasons ALONE he accumulated 13.1 WAR, won 31 total games, and pitched 287 innings.

Without Skub, we definitely don’t win 2 playoff series, let alone make the playoffs in general. Without him we would still be in the long, miserable rebuild.

Now, I’m not defending him for the recent news that came out about what he said back in January, but to be honest all you people want is fuel to rip into him and push him out of this city.

I’m not saying he should or shouldn’t be traded, but acting like he didn’t have won of the greatest peaks in franchise history is just hilarious and our fans behavior is completely embarrassing, and honestly at this point I wouldn’t blame him for leaving.

@MoneyMelton52 What has he done for this team? He’s one two Cy youngs—the team has won nothing. He hid an injury which cost us this season & possibly costs us in trade negotiations. Now he won’t resign here so we must trade him. Again what has he done for this team? He’s gotta go!

@det_tigers84 99 pitches is a lot, and he completely emptied the tank and gave it everything. He did his job and the bullpen failed him, say we do advance to the ALCS what’s the point if we just blew out our best pitcher in game 5 by running his pitch count up to 120.

This epidemic started when Skubal came out of game 5 of the ALDS after 99 pitches. This fanbase completely turned their back on him and ever since they have looked for any reason possible to trash him and push him out of this city. It seems like nobody appreciated what he has done for this team anymore.
