Money Mike SA Bags Massive Deal With Denim Brand True Religion Aligned With New Single ‘On Gawd’

Rapper and entrepreneur Money Mike SA, real name Ibrahim Abdul Fakhouri (31), is entering a new chapter in his career with the release of his latest single, On Gawd, and a major partnership with international fashion brand True Religion.

The song was recorded in Beirut, Lebanon, at the height of the Russia-Ukraine-US war and produced by acclaimed producers Nagib and Ziggy, giving it an international sound that reflects his global ambitions and multicultural background.

"Recording On Gawd in Beirut during such a tense time made the experience deeply emotional and inspiring at the same time. The energy around us forced me to dig deeper creatively and speak from a real place,” says Money Mike SA.

“This song represents survival, ambition, and faith. No matter what chaos is happening around you, you still have to believe in your vision and keep pushing forward,” he says.

Known for his smooth delivery, relentless work ethic, and genre-blending style, Money Mike SA has steadily built his name within the African hip-hop scene.

Over the years, he has collaborated with some of South Africa’s biggest artists, including Emtee, Blxckie, and Chad Da Don.Outside of music, he has also expanded his influence through his business venture, Yalla Habibi Cartel, a brand that mirrors his luxury lifestyle, entrepreneurial drive, and international flair.

Speaking about the single, Money Mike SA described On Gawd as a reflection of his journey and personal growth.

“This is more than just a song. It’s a statement about what I’ve survived and where I’m headed. Recording in Beirut gave the song a completely different energy and emotion,” he said.

The rapper also expressed excitement about joining True Religion as a brand ambassador, calling it another important milestone in his career.

"Being chosen as a brand ambassador means a lot to me because it shows that the work I’ve been putting in is being recognised globally,” he said.
