Another year of try outs are almost here. Looking forward to getting all our athletes back in the gym and continuing our tradition of developing professional and collegiate athletes.
According to the New York Jets Coach, Robert Saleh...
There are 4 Levels of Competitors.
Everyone falls into one of these areas.
Which one do you fall into?
1. The SURVIVOR - These people get by. They want to take the easy way out. They do as little as possible. They are minimalists.
2. The CONTENDER - Contenders need external motivation to compete. They need the trophy, the reward, the prize. These external rewards push them to compete.
3. The COMPETITOR - These people are internally and intrinsically motivated to be their best. They have a championship mindset. They are always looking to get their personal best. They are motivated and driven.
4. The COMMANDER - The commanders are first and foremost competitors. They have all of the same attributes that competitors do above: They are intrinsically motivated, have a championship mindset, and are fierce competitors. What is the difference then? The commanders pull others along with them. They Lead. They have a great influence on those around them.
Which of these do you fall into as a player, coach, or person?
How about your teammates?
Who do you want on your team?
