just told my father i finally got officially divorced and his reaction was mild. Told my younger brother and he enthusiastically high fived me and said congratulations.

My dad looked puzzled and said “I’m sorry, I just think S was a good dude. A good father.” To which my brother replied “My congratulations had nothing to do with him and everything to do with her and her happiness.”
