Victor Wembanyama was asked in French about being a reactionary team:
🇫🇷: Hello Victor, I get the impression that there’s no team better than yours when it comes to responding after a loss and winning when your backs are against the wall. Do you agree with that and how do you explain it? What needs to happen for you to stop being a "reactionary team"—a team that only finds solutions after running into problems? Even if you're the best at it, it can be both a strength and a weakness.
👽: Definitely. I completely agree. I think it's due to both our lack of experience and our youth, especially since we're playing against experienced teams. To me, the two best examples are Minnesota and New York. They understand how fortunate they are to be in the Finals, and they know it's not guaranteed they'll ever get another chance like this. As for us, we're kind of like spoiled kids. For some of us, it's our first season—or one of our first seasons—and we're already in the Finals. We don't fully realize it yet. And to me, the team that appreciates the position we're in the most will be the one that wins.

Richard Jefferson & Iman Shumpert reminisce about their legendary 2016 championship with the Cavs and reveal the speech Lebron used to motivate them to come back from down 3-1 against the Warriors 🔥
Shumpert also couldn’t stop VIOLATING Draymond Green for getting suspended in game 5 of the series and wasting his amazing game 7 performance 💀🤣
“He starts explaining, I was like ‘I don’t think I wanna be the guys on the other side with the pressure…’ We start dialing it up. Draymond suspended himself… That was dumb.”
Stephon Castle on the biggest difference between defending Jalen Brunson vs. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander:
"Jalen likes to use angles a lot more, pump fakes. Get to his spots. Not really trying to draw fouls as much, trying to get to his midrange and spots where he likes."
Chwalinksa had issues with her hotel booking after her unexpected bid into the semis 😅
Watch the #RolandGarros Semifinals on TNT, truTV, & HBO Max 🎾
Hes right. The difference was Fox and Wemby didnt make shots. The goal was make Brunson work for all his pts.. he took 31 shots to get 30 pts so they did what they set out to do.
"I can't say enough about the job that Karl-Anthony Towns did in defending against Victor Wembanyama."
@stephenasmith reacts to the Knicks' Game 1 win over the Spurs in the NBA Finals 👏
"We stopped playing as fast in transition, they made some tough shots at the end of the game - we have a lot of stuff we can be better on"
- Devin Vassell on the Spurs' Game 1 loss
Kendrick Perkins on KAT 💀
“Me and him spoke for a brief minute, that man got a certain level of focus. His voice done changed in this postseason. When you hear him do his post game interview, it went from being squeaky to now all the sudden he has a deep voice”
He’s spot on.
The offense was lazy and it was actually a gift to the Knicks considering how ineffective Vic ISOs from 20+feet out have been all year.
Mitch knows this too which makes it more frustrating.
🗣️ Jeff Peterson: "There is one person I want to shout out specifically, and that's Pat Connaughton. I'll be fully transparent with you guys. When we made the trade for Pat, I talked to him and I said, 'you're probably not making the team.'"
"And I give him all the credit in the world because he showed up. He didn't have to be here. He could have just said, 'I'm just gonna chill in Texas with my family and figure out my next move,' but he's been with you guys every step of the way, competing."
"He and Charles have had conversations. I've had conversations with him. He knows that if he plays 5 minutes or if he may not play for 20 straight games, why he's on this team is because he's about everything that we're about: Hornets DNA."
"You talk about controlling controllables. Anytime his name is called, he's ready to go in the game. He's staying ready. He's busting his ass. He's a professional. So if there's any doubt at any time of what we're about, look at what he did. Because it was all in his control, in terms of his attitude, his approach, showing up every day doing what he could control, and obviously it paid off."
