One category. Still the full breakdown.
All my work spending goes into a single category: Office. July: $981.84. One number, and I trust it — nothing is hiding in a sub-category I forgot to add up.
The detail isn't lost, it just lives somewhere else. Every transaction gets a label instead — rent, supplies. Switch the breakdown from category to label and the same $981.84 opens up: $974.40 rent, $7.44 supplies.
That's what labels are for. Sub-categories make you choose between a clean total and the detail underneath it, and the more you add, the less any single number means. A label sits on top of the category instead, so you keep both views of the same money. A transaction can carry several, and the same label works across different categories.

Switching money apps shouldn't mean starting from zero. Money Tracker now imports Excel and CSV — your old app's export, a bank statement, or your own sheet.

Money Tracker 3.0 is out. Logging an expense is one screen now instead of three, and the rest of the app has been redesigned around that.
