Go First owes approximately Rs 11,000 crore to various creditors, including banks, aircraft lessors, vendors, and customers. By December 2024, 28 out of the airline’s 54 aircraft had been
repossessed by lessors. The liquidation marks the end of Go First’s attempts at revival.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has ordered the liquidation of Go First Airways, following a request from the airline’s Committee of Creditors. This decision comes after the airline filed for voluntary insolvency in May 2023.
