The Nagaland Transparency, Public Rights Advocacy & Direct Action Org. (NTPRADAO) were really doing well highlighting misappropriation of public funds inside the government before they shot themselves in the foot. They came as quickly as they left.
When we hear people say, “We must preserve our culture,” it’s always the superficial and inconsequential things that tends to get the most attention. Well what about hard work, honesty, bravery, honor and integrity, values which defined our Naga culture in the past?

Tonight while I was on the way back from Chumoukedima, a young guy riding a loud obnoxious R1 bike without silencer was criss crossing across traffic. Needless to say but it felt satisfying watching him get stopped by traffic police for not wearing helmet.
The current lapse in the Nagaland Police whereby it’s own officials are caught illegally selling ammunitions right under their nose is a worrying sign. Many are trying to take advantage of the ongoing crisis in Manipur no doubt.
