i realized that no one, not even my mother or closest friends knows what i’m actually like in the inside of my head, and the only person who actually knows who i am is me
romanticize your life, take pretty pictures, feel like the main character, light up a candle, read books, go for a walk, dance to your favorite music, buy yourself presents, do whatever you want, be happy - this is your life, don't let anyone take it from you
No one knows you. No one has a story about who you are. No one is waiting for you to be the person you were yesterday. You're just a stranger in a chair by the window, watching a city that doesn't need anything from you.
It's the feeling that anything could happen. That the world is bigger than the walls you built around yourself back home. That the life you've been living is just one version of a life, and there are others, and they're not as far away as you thought.
At home, you're fixed. Known. You fit into a shape that other people recognize, and after a while, you forget you're even in a shape at all. But here, alone, somewhere new, the shape dissolves. You could be anyone. You could be more of yourself than you've ever been. No one is watching to see if you stay consistent.
To think “Ribs” would have sounded a lot different if it was not for Lorde’s headstrong artistic choices.
It now has 1 billion streams purely from its cult status. Label executives need to listen to artists.
I think Taylor Swift is still underated.
Most people appreciate her business acumen and know her hits, but they've never heard her deep cuts or know that she writes, directs and does all of her art. They're unaware of the rich and wonderful universe she's created for all of us.
I struggle with grown women who still move like it's high school. We are not teenagers anymore. We are women with responsibilities. With scars. With stories no one sees. Life has already been hard on most of us. So why add to it?
If you are still gossiping, tearing someone down, or competing over things that do not matter, that is not strength. It is insecurity asking for attention. Real strength looks different. It looks like clapping when another woman wins. It looks like staying silent instead of spreading rumors.
It looks like doing your inner work instead of proiecting your pain.
Strong women do not need to compete for space. They create space. They support. They encourage. They show up. We have all fought battles people know nothing about. Let's not become another battle for each other. Let's be the reason another woman feels safe, valued, and seen.
no rizz, but i would listen to all your favourite songs just so i can hear the world the way you do. i would educate myself on your interests just so we can talk about them. i would learn your little habits and love you in the quiet ways no one else notices
I think we under-estimate how many people are miserable because they have no enthusiasms, no hobbies, because they gave up reading and quit learning when school ended. It's shocking how much studying a beloved subject elevates your mood. It will transform your life.
I don’t want to be someone’s type, I want to break their brain and make them discover a whole new archetype. I only want a love that can expand my universe and not just fit an existing slot within it.
love how life isn’t linear & we have free will & can reinvent ourselves whenever we want. wanna serve cunt? update that wardrobe, wear the nasty heel, bleach ur brows, fuck it. wanna be a fitness girlie? wake up 5am for a run & pilates, delete doordash & meal prep. audacity & action is all u need to be exactly who u wanna be. it rlly is sometimes as easy as just doing it.
