@CynlandNS@KaterynaLis No, I would feel better if, before this conflict escalated, Ukraine had made a deal with Russia instead of deciding to go into an all-out war with Moscow to please its Western backers.
Hundreds of thousands of men are dying on both sides in completely avoidable war.
@CutThruTheBias@FellaEllalina@KaterynaLis Russia intervened in Ukraine after warning for 14 years that Ukraine into "de jure" or "de facto" NATO member is a red line for them.
Ukraine picked the war with Russia over neutrality
Try forming a military coalition with China, then invite Mexico to join and see what happens
@CynlandNS@KaterynaLis The ceasefire started at 00:00 Sept 5 and so far there were no any strikes on the city. But then what's the point of providing you with evidence, right?

@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender This has never been about Ukraine and Russia - it was about the US and Russia.
Try forming a military coalition with China, then start admitting new members from the countries that border the US, and see what happens…
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender What I meant was that a deal reached there wasn’t in written form either.
Soviet missiles in Cuba were a response to US secretly placing nukes in Turkey a year earlier.
Russia agreed to move the nukes out of Cuba, and the US agreed to do the same with their nukes in Turkey.
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender You would have to be retarded to believe that Victoria Nuland was there on a humanitarian mission.
Ukrainian leadership showed ambitions to join NATO in 2008, put the commitment to do so in 2019 into their constitution and had it confirmed in 2021 by Biden, that they can join.
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender As Matlock said, it was a geopolitical deal. It wasn't in a writing form, but the Cuban missile crises was solved the same way, with both sides keeping their promise
In case of NATO the US broke their promise and started building up military infrastructure around Russian borders
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender They started building it in 2016, but it wasn't operational until 2024, so apparently Russia had no reasons to protest 😀
If Chinese started building thier military bases in countries close to US, I doubt that the fact that it will take years to finish them would calm US down
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender Russia was well aware of US activities in Ukraine and it's involvements in 2014 Maidan coup.
After pro US fractions gained control of the country in 2014, securing Crimea - because of the key Russian naval base and majority of ethnic Russians - was paramount for Russia
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender Majority of Ukrainians didn't want to join NATO in 2008, still the US managed to get Ukrainian leadership to "apply".
After the move was blocked by Germany, the US kept increasing its operations in Ukraine.
In Dec 2013, Nuland said they have invested 5 billions into Ukraine.
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender You apparently didn't watch the video you are reacting to. The guy in it is Jack Foust Matlock an American ambassador to Soviet Union at the time, I am pretty sure he knows what he is talking about.
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender What would the US do, if Russia placed their missiles in GUatemala, the same as the US has done in Poland in 2008?
And then Russians would support a coup, toppling democratically elected leader in Mexico, as the US has done in Ukraine and then starting building up Mexican army?
@NwolisaHenry@sentdefender Well, he is a personal friend of Zelensky and won’t portray Russia positively, but he confirmed my point.
Russia sought to limit the Ukrainian army because the US has trained, armed and built it up since 2014.
Russia kept its 2008 promise; the US did not keep theirs from 1990s.
@CutThruTheBias@FellaEllalina@KaterynaLis If that is your answer to me correcting a verifiably false claim, then I am not surprised you ended up in pro Ukrainian camp.
@KaterynaLis@UNMediaLiaison@UN It makes me wonder, did Ukraine also mind Kosovo being marked as independent country despite the fact it is part of Serbia according to international law?
@IronHorsey2000@Polymarket Ukraine only wants a ceasefire because their boat is leaking.
3 years ago when Ukrainians were doing much better on the battlefield, Zelensky rejected Russia's offers for a ceasefire even during Christmas time.
@IronHorsey2000 You can also count on Ukraine and it's US backers to distort the facts and push fake claims.
No any impacts were registered in Kiev city, which is the only area Russia agreed to cease their attacks on during the limited ceasefire.
@CrusadeAgain Putin ordered to cease all the strike against the Kiev city itself.
But he doesn't control alarms in Kiev. Just because Ukrainains turn then on for a few minutes, it doesn't mean Russia violated the ceasefire.
There were no impacts in Kiev.
