The Great Debate tournament is now in the second round. We say goodbye to many amazing contributors to humanity like Einstein, Nelson Mandela and Rosa Parks. Moving on we have the likes of Gandhi, Malala, Alexander Flemming and more. Check out some action shots of the 1st round.

WOW! The grade 8 class was treated to an excellent debate this morning between Abraham Lincoln and Alexander Flemming. These two teams completely divided the class. In the end, it was Lincoln who won with just 2 extra votes. #GreatestContributorToHumanity #WhoWouldYouChoose

@charlenebernie @varennesLRSD Thanks for the comment. After two classes of research and group discussions, students chose their own representatives. Unfortunately, only 3 groups chose to do women (personally, I was hoping to see Marie Curie). Maybe our old champion, Lauren, can come see the final :o
