Chicago just lost the Bears after more than a century in the city.

The team spent years trying to move forward with a new stadium project, but disputes over taxes, infrastructure funding, and state approval dragged on without a deal. Meanwhile, Indiana moved quickly, approved support for a stadium plan, and landed the team.

The irony is hard to miss: Illinois had a chance at a multibillion-dollar development, new jobs, and future tax revenue. Instead, the Bears decided renting a stadium in another state was preferable to negotiating for another year.

Whether you support public stadium funding or not, it’s a rough look when a franchise that’s called Chicago home since 1921 decides the easier path is leaving. 🏈🤦‍♂️

Danhausen was shown on the video screen at T-Mobile Arena during Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, where he “cursed” the Carolina Hurricanes.

Carolina lost 5-4 in double overtime to the Vegas Golden Knights, who now lead the series 2-1.

ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski called Danhausen (@DanhausenAD) a “WWE star and sports oracle” who “has cursed the Canes.”

The appearance followed a stretch during the NBA Playoffs in which Danhausen “cursed” the Cleveland Cavaliers, who were swept by the New York Knicks, and “uncursed” the Knicks, who advanced to the NBA Finals.
