Am sure there is a good explanation of why it works, although I ask myself does it matter to/that they know?

I have struggled to understand some maths teachers dislike of effective 'procedural' methods.

Crazy week in my new school.

I’ve had kids ask ME how I am, offer to hold door for me, not talk when I’m talking, follow instructions first time every time, thank me for the lesson.

Is this real life? Is this what happens with high expectations and a warm-strict approach?
