@TamKevin1@irish_goat There’s craft (limited) in the Algarve. Algarve Rock Brewing in Faro has a tap room (run by a Sligo man), there’s also craft bars in Alvor and Lagos.
My seafood shack is being forced to close because of the need for a bus stop. My heart is broken to be honest about it. I’m there 8 yrs with no issues. I was given notice on Monday to be gone by 22nd May. I’m just not one bit happy but getting lots of online support.
Please - if you are talking to your public representatives - ask them to put pressure on Re-Turn to make the Re-Turn logo OPTIONAL on containers.

@LarryPDonnelly As long as the publican lobby is allowed to wield as much influence as it does in our legislative process, our licensing laws will continue to serve one group and one group only.
@daviddots1@mistereatgalway @Planetwaves20 It’s actually €32.52 the €40 already includes 23% VAT (40/1.23). However the business will claim back the VAT on the initial purchase and write that off against the VAT they collect, so if initial cost was €10 incl VAT, the actual VAT due on the retail sale @€40 is €5.61.
@Bill_Linnane It was never created to succeed. It was merely a diversionary product created to tie up even more of Ireland’s limited draught lines, and in so doing to reduce access for smaller, independent, indigenous breweries.
