Nearly all theft offenses, vehicle code violations, & crimes against property such as petty theft and vandalism will be eligible for Cite and Release or Book and Release, while more serious offenses will be subject to Magistrate Review.

Superior Court's ruling that Cash Bail is unconstitutional returns LA County to Zero Bail protocols beginning October 1.

Only LA County Police Departments will be forced to release nearly all theft and vehicle burglary suspects with a citation due to the Zero Bail policy.
