Stop Teaching O-Line Footwork Wrong! (NFL Techniques)

- Players should load their instep—the arch of the foot—so they can effectively generate force from the inside of the foot.

- On the first step, players should pick their foot up and put it down as quickly as possible rather than worrying about gaining a specific amount of ground.

- The second step needs to aim directly through the crotch of the defender to properly generate force.

- When initiating contact, players must keep their elbows in tight, keep a flat back, keep their eyes up, and strike with the screws of the helmet and their hands at the exact same time.

- Linemen must block with all of their cleats planted firmly in the ground by pounding their arches, rather than blocking on their toes.

- To finish the block, players should accelerate their feet, drive their knees toward the defender's knees, and play long at the top for a final push.

Alex Mirabal - Offensive Line- Miami University

Great blocking means adjusting to the defender.

Gallop. Knock over. High leg out.

Mirabal breaks down how to adjust the gallop technique when defenders pop back into the gap.

A little humor to remind y’all that the bull rush works.

It might seem basic, but the best in the game understand just how dangerous it is.

Perfect it, rep it & use it. If it’s good enough for @fcoxx_91, @94yne, @AaronDonald97 & @GrindSimmons, it’s good enough for you #PassRush

My dude @devoryea just a straight athlete. 3rd place in the 300mH final at the District 5-4A Meet. 42.95 not bad for just his 3rd hurdle race ever.
