We have had a busy start to the new year here at Montgomery Junior School. This week all of the classes in the school have enjoyed a session in the Life Bus. Topics covered included Friendships and Relationships, Managing Feelings and Making Good Choices. Thank you @CoramLifeEd
It's beginning to look at lot like Christmas here at Montgomery Junior School. We have all enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Dinner today in our Christmas Jumpers!
The Children enjoyed having the Power of One Theatre Company in school this afternoon. The actors performed skits to portray what bullying is and what can be done about it. Children were made aware that bulling is unacceptable and not tolerated here at Montgomery Junior School.
The children enjoyed learning new musical skills in our African Drumming workshops this week. They had a fantastic time playing the djembe and learned how the drum was used traditionally and how it relates to the modern rhythms heard today.
Had a brilliant day as an #author at the excellent @MontgomeryJun in Colchester talking with year 6s about inspiration for writing. To be honest they inspired me with their attitude, interest and enthusiasm for reading & writing and behaviour. A great school. Thank you!
We had the privilege of welcoming a representative from the Royal National Institute of Blind People to school this week. Phil Lee and Heath the guide dog presented an assembly to the whole school to raise awareness. @RNIB
We would like to wish all of our pupils a very happy new school year. We look forward to lots of exciting and inspiring learning #KnowledgeIsPower#weloveschool
