HAPPY HSS DAY!
Today, we celebrate our 8th Anniversary. It has been an incredible 8 years showcasing the herpetofauna of #Singapore to people across all walks of life.
To commemorate this day, we are featuring 8 skinks native to Singapore. Which of these is your favourite?
Here is the latest episode of our podcast, #TheTattlingToad!
In this episode, the Tattlers discuss herps that have taken to the air! Then, they open up about their herp nemeses; species that have eluded them for far too long, despite their best efforts!

Here is our #ProjectRunOver report for 2022.
#ProjectRunOver is a citizen-science project that looks at wildlife-vehicle collisions (WVC) involving herpetofauna in #Singapore. WVCs are not limited to roadkills & motor vehicles; we also get reports from cycling paths & sidewalks.
Happy #Halloween!
Letโs get spooky with a new episode of #TheTattlingToad featuring our newest #frog on the block & some Halloweeny herps who are dressed up all year round!

It has been a long hot second since our last podcast episode, but we have fixed it!
Say hello to #TheTattlingToad 3: 'Of Herps & Fungi', featuring @stevoallain discussing his work on Ophidiomycosis.
Pop over to Spotify to catch it & our other episodes now!

Described by some of our members, this little frogโs species name honours the late Mr Subaraj, a giant in pioneering the conservation of #biodiversity in #Singapore.

But this World Snake Day, we want to spend some time honouring the subtle charm of lesser-known snakes, like this Malayan Bridle Snake (๐ฟ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ข๐๐๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ก๐ข๐ ). It is not particularly flashy or highly venomous.

It's #InternationalCorgiDay! ๐ถ
Queen Elizabeth II has had 30+ Corgis in her lifetime. Though her last two CorgisโWhisper & Willowโhave both have died, she does still has one Dorgi ( Corgi/Dachshund mix) named Candy.

Enjoy!!!๐ฆฆ๐ฆฆ๐ฆฆ
Another day, another little #snake.
We found this wee baby on last night's herp walk. This is the second one I have encountered at this spot, so there might have been a recently hatched clutch nearby!

Now, that was exhilarating!
#PrehistoricPlanet will do so much for the paleo-people. I cannot wait for the rest of the week as new episodes drop; looking to more amazing stuff by the team!
And as always with any #Attenborough documentary, do not get attached to any little ones ๐
It's #NationalEatWhatYouWantDay! ๐
Unsurprisingly, the blue whale consumes the most calories of any animal. They can grow over 80 feet long & weigh more than 300,000 lbs. These sea creatures on average take in 457,000 calories with every mouthful of krill.

I think being a #turtle around prehistoric creatures, real or artsy, is a horrible existence. Remember this unfortunate fossil from Pรผntener et al. 2019?
