Snoopy passed away in the early hours of this morning. She was in her human's arms, purring. She was 18; a diva, a queen, a cat with catitude, the sweetest girl in the world. Human's heart is broken into a million pieces. Rest in peace sweet angel, you will be missed beyond belief
Monty is doing so much better!
He spent a couple of days in hospital, his issues aren't neurological! 2 separate conditions: possible idiopathic feline cystitis (waiting on test results to confirm) and dislocating knee joints.
Addressing the bladder issues then on to the knees
I know it's been a while, but we need your prayers/good thoughts/positive vibes for Monty. He has been rushed to the animal hospital for possible neurological problems. Please pray for him. #CatsOfTwitter#Monty#TuxieGang
The house feels so empty and quiet without Snoopy. Both human and I are overcome with grief. When I'm not comforting human, I'm spending all of my time in Snoopy's hut. I never used to be interested in it, but now I always use it. We both miss her so much #Monty#CatsOfTwitter
A week ago, Snoopy celebrated her 18th birthday; she yummed up the prawns & licked the bowl clean. Now she's no longer here & human's heart feels like it has broken into a million pieces. Human is really struggling without Snoopy, but wants to thank everyone for their kind words
We've both been enjoying the sunshine today.
We also wanted to thank all of you for your support. It means so much. Again today, Snoopy walked through the house to sit by the back door, so we're taking this as a good sign. #SnoopyMonty#CatsOfTwitter#Caturday#SaturdayVibes
@BestCatArwyn Yeah, it's the tumour on my adrenal gland that's causing the problems with my back legs. Hopefully the medication will help. What hip and joint treatment does your momma do for you?
I walked all the way through the house to sit by the backdoor (I've mainly been living in one room because my back legs keep giving way). I was determined to enjoy the sunshine!
I have an appt on Monday with the vet to talk about medication for my tumor. Wish me luck! #Snoopy
We've spoken to the vet. We have 3 options for the tumor; surgery - a high mortality rate, medication which might help, or not. Or do nothing, which is just not an option. Surgery could cure her, but it could also kill her. Medication could help her, but it might not 1/ #Snoopy
@bunnyt1960 Unfortunately not. We live in the UK, so I'm not sure if there are speciality hospitals. The vet practice we use has several vets, one of them specialises in surgery.
@hendrix183 His speciality is in surgery, but he said it's a risky operation as there's lots of major blood vessels in that area. Plus with Snoopy's age (17), there's also a risk that the surgery goes well, but she just doesn't wake up.
We don't know what to do. What's the right choice here? Surgery or medication? We just don't know.
Please keep Snoopy in your #pawcircle 3/3

There are pros and cons for both the surgery & the medication. The risk is high that she wouldn't survive the surgery, but it could cure her completely (including regaining the use of her back legs). The medication might help manage her symptoms, but who knows how long for. 2/
