Spent my Saturday learning godot so I could make a game my wife mentioned wanting. Not close to being finished, but solid progress for the day.
#BuildInPublic
@oldstackjournal Vibe coder here, and really the first thing that clicked for me was Git. I knew how to make a repo and how to push to the repo, but I knew nothing about checkouts, branches, merges, etc. Once it showed me this, it was a night and day difference.
@LaunchLlamaHQ Hey! Iโm a vibe coder who makes fun little apps. Spending my weekend learning about Godot and building a little mobile game for someone
@amansaini_11@Vouchaiapp Likes:
Simplicity of before
Buttons on after vs the โtakeโ on before
Dislikes:
Not seeing which meds I need to take by name at a glance (perhaps just morning, afternoon, nighttime). That might be what the dropdown does.
Streaks seem odd here. Not trying to hit a high score
Whatโs the smallest app youโve ever paid for?
Not the cheapest, I mean the app that basically did ONE stupidly specific thing and you happily gave them money because it solved exactly what you needed.
Those apps fascinate me.
@Emmanuel1134541@Joi2James Yep, itโs actually where I got some initial feedback which led to expanded features. For example I recently added frictionless joins so that if person a has the app and invites person b to help decide. Person b can still vote without the app and then be prompted to get it after
@Emmanuel1134541@Joi2James Exposure really. Itโs a simple concept thatโs easy to pick up, but getting the word out there it exists is slow going. I have like 200 downloads so far. Everyday I get 1 or 2 more people checking it out, but looking for that big surge.
