1/ Crypto scams are getting smarter, but they still follow the same playbook. Here are 7 red flags I've learned to spot since 2017. Save this one, it could save you real money. 🧵
Not your keys, not your coins. It's an old saying in crypto because it keeps being true.

Do you keep anything on exchanges? 👇
Binance, the world's biggest crypto exchange, just had one of the largest hacks in crypto history, with about $6.3B in assets affected.
Here's what actually happened, how serious it is, and what you should do, in plain English. 🧵
@APompliano AI saved me 2 hours a day and my to-do list noticed before I did. The trick is deciding in advance what that saved time is for, otherwise work eats it..
@zerohedge Proof that 'real estate always goes up' needs an asterisk. Location, debt and timing do all the work. The building is just along for the ride.
2/ Guaranteed returns. "2% a day" or "double your money in a week" isn't real. Even legit investing comes with risk, so anyone promising certainty is selling a scam.
3/ Someone messages you first. A friendly stranger, a "mentor," or a romance that slowly turns to crypto is a setup. Real opportunities don't slide into your DMs.
4/ They rush you. "Only 2 spots left" or "price pumps tonight" is there to stop you from thinking. Slow down. A real deal will still be there tomorrow.
5/ They ask for your seed phrase. No wallet, exchange, or support team will ever need it. Whoever has your seed phrase owns your money, so never share it, never type it into a website, and never screenshot it.
6/ "Support" reaches out to you. Fake support accounts reply to anyone who complains in public. Only contact support through the official app or website.
7/ You can't withdraw. If a platform suddenly wants a "fee" or "tax" before you can cash out, the money is already gone. Don't pay more to get it back.
8/ Fake celebrity giveaways. "Send 1 ETH, get 2 back" is always a scam, even when it looks like it's from a famous account. Check the handle closely.
9/ The rule that covers all of it: if you didn't go looking for it, and it's urgent, secret, or too good to be true, walk away.
