मैं बात कर रहा हूं- भारत की जनगणना की।

देश के सभी राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में इसका पहला चरण लगभग पूरा हो चुका है। 32 करोड़ से अधिक परिवारों की जान��ारी दर्ज की जा चुकी है। इन दिनों लद्दाख, हिमाचल प्रदेश, जम्��ू-कश्मीर और उत्तराखंड के दुर्गम और बर्फीले इलाकों में भी ये काम चल रहा है।

जनगणना हम सबका राष्ट्रीय दायित्व है। मैंने 15 अगस्त को भी देशवासियों से आग्रह किया था कि इसके लिए अपना समय जरूर निकालें। देश के लिए ये बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है, क्योंकि आपकी और आपके परिवार की सही जानकारी देश के भविष्य की सही तस्वीर तैयार करने में मदद करती है।

Rajdeep, You are set to play a match against a team and you have realised that the umpire has clandestinely changed the rule book in collusion with the opposing teams captain. For every boundary or a six that your opposing team hits, they will get 8 or 12 runs while your team will get only 2 or 3 runs. At that point, you don't sit in the drawing room and think whether I am captaining the team correctly, if I am getting my playing eleven right or how do I hit more sixes. It's time for you to go out there and get the fair rules reinstated, change the umpire and get the cheating umpire and the opposing teams captain legally prosecuted. Else you and your future generations can never hope of winning a world cup.

Shared this cricketing analogy as you are a cricketing fan. I know you already understand this but my sense is you don't say it out loud to 'appear' neutral. But at this point, as a prominent journalist and citizen, if you don't express openly, you are not neutral, you are part of the problem.

1) The so-called policies of the BJP in reality are just dole-outs by a system that believes in a Mai-Baap culture. They introduce many of the schemes at will during elections and also shut them down or scale them down once that political purpose is served. Real upliftment happens when the needy are supported through appropriate legislation. Classic examples of this are the rights to education, food, employment and information that Dr. Manmohan Singh introduced during his tenure. They became legally enforceable rights for the people, not acts of charity that depend on executive whim, and are thus structural and sustainable.

2) The post makes it seem like the social media trolls are operating independently of the BJP. On the contrary, the reality is that the PM sets the tone with his jibes, the mantris and santris follow the cue and the trolls take it whole another level. They may have primarily created these troll armies for the opposition and the minorities. But the Frankstein monster was bound to go after all easy targets, particularly women. So don't blame the trolls alone. The people who put them in that position are equally responsible.

BJP is the most feminist party in India, they implemented many pro women schemes, their 70% schemes are women centric, these polices have changed and uplifted millions of women at the ground Level

Yet, on social media, BJP considered as anti-women because many pro BJP and RW accounts openly post misogynistic and anti women content, it reflects in posts, posted by those accounts

BJP should get rid of these misogynistic, anti-women accounts and shouldn't save them when someone files a complaint against them. Good women-centric governance ruined by misogynistic, anti-women social media trolls.

Unfair to Ambani and Reliance to quote them as examples of billionaires not investing in India. The bit around 'green energy chod...' is also factually incorrect since he announced ovee 75k Crores in new energy few years back and over half of it is already done. The investments he made in Jio is the real backbone of digital India and will remembered as one of the most consequential impacts that private sector had on India, especially in an AI world. These investments also have multiple 2nd/3rd order impacts. So it's not that a big deal if his retail business invests a minor sum in ice cream since they believe in vertical integration. Also most of Ambani's investments are either B2C or B2B unlike Adani who primarily focuses on businesses where the Government has a significant role to play. Ambani may have his issues but not investing in India is not one of them. P.S. I have a personal stake in Reliance.

The press note issued by the EC states that henceforth it will circulate agendas in advance and issue minutes of meetings. It also directs the officers of the EC to comply with the directions of the Commissioners. When an institution has to formally spell out such basic processes and responsibilities, it has largely failed to function effectively and raises serious questions about its institutional accountability. It's press note is an admission of guilt.

This guy&s dismissal of the IE investigation as a hit job comes across as deeply biased and says a lot about his objectivity, credibility and intentions. People in positions of influence who conduct themselves in this manner have played a significant role in the institutional decline we see in the country today.

It's imperative that the Congress emerges as the leader of the protests against vote chori. With the call to opposition to boycott the elections, CJP at a minimum comes across as naive, given their inexperience. If they are seen as the face of the protests and possibly declare victory when Gyanesh resigns, the momentum may get lost. If that happens, new stooges will take his place and we will back to square one. @INCIndia's call for criminal prosecution of Gyanesh is the outcome to push for.

For opposition:

Yes, elections are being rigged. But when you continue to participate in rigged elections, you legitimise these elections and help maintain the illusion that they are free and fair.

Maybe you keep contesting because you fear that if you don’t, you will stop existing. But what kind of existence are you trying to protect when votes are being stolen, your MLAs and MPs are being poached, and your parties are being split?

This is not political survival. You are simply trying to stay alive in a system that can weaken you, split your party or take away your elected representatives whenever it wants. How long can you survive like this?

And you cannot talk about election rigging only when it happens in states that matter to you and remain silent when it happens elsewhere. If elections are being rigged, it should matter regardless of the state or which party is affected.

You cannot keep saying the game is rigged while continuing to play it. Your participation is the only thing that gives these rigged elections legitimacy.

Think about the nation and its democracy before thinking about your own political survival. Take a stand and stop participating in rigged elections.
