Anytime you are facing a problem in life; understand that it is due to the wrong channeling of energy.

Similarly, the festivals we celebrate are nothing but a build-up of energy in the cosmic world, and every festival is unique because the energy is always unique, it is never the same.

For eg. Makar Sankranti is celebrated by eating oily food & sweets, because Sun has entered Capricorn - a cold, dry and bitter sign. You don't eat heavy sweets in Janmashtmi, rather you fast, because Sun will be in Cancer or Leo - natural 4th and 5th Houses - weak in digbala and slowing down digestion.

Then comes a particular festival called - Dussehra

I have chosen today's day specifically to write about this when Sun is in his last phase in Virgo as Atmakaraka and Moon is in Purva Ashadha

Look at the energy that gets built up during Dussehra, each year you will find Sun either in Virgo - the natural 6th House & battlefield of the zodiac or in Libra - the natural 7th House & stage of the world

Moon will either be in Sagittarius - the natural 9th House & the sign of war and dharma, or in Capricorn - the natural 10th House & the sign of authority, power and structure.

Then you see the tales that surround this festival - on one hand we have Shree Rama fighting a long battle with Ravana and finally slaying the demon king, and on the other we have Maa Durga fighting a long battle with Mahishasura and finally slaying the demon

The fact that we have both these tales with a common theme - of a powerful deity fighting a long, gruelling battle with a fierce opponent and finally winning after persistence, is NOT a coincidence.

The energy that gets built-up in the sky during these times is teaching you the exact same thing.

Sun in Virgo means the King is in the battlefield, Virgo is a sign known for SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) even Shree Rama had to create tactics and fight systematically with Ravana, he didn't just one day pick up bow and arrow and said "let's fight"

Sun in Libra means the King is at the centre of the stage now, all the eyes and spotlight is now on him, he has to prove himself to the world that he's capable.

Moon in Sagittarius is setting the overall flavour of the battle, why it's being fought, primarily because of establishing Dharma because Sagittarius is the sign of Dharma, Law & Order

You see all the 3 Nakshatras falling in the sign of Sagittarius are Nakshatras known for war, Mula, Purva Ashadha, Uttara Ashadha, they are NOT peaceful Nakshatras.

And finally Moon in Capricorn is telling you that once Dharma gets established, once Law & Order is established, only then can a solid foundation be made for creating a solid structure, any planet in Capricorn in your chart will never give results if the foundation regarding the Karaka Tatwas of that planet is weak.

Why am I writing all of this?

Because I want you - the reader, to take inspiration from the energy that is built-up in the cosmic world right now and align yourself accordingly.

Dussehra could have been celebrated when Sun was exalted at its peak power and Moon would be in Pisces or Taurus, in a happy mood, but both luminaries fighting their own battles during this festival teaches you to be prepared, and fight any problem that life throws at you with full readiness.

Virgo and Capricorn are not the signs of "Rest" - they tell you to make a plan, do the work, finish the job and move forward. No drama, no emotions.

And this advice in my opinion is much more necessary right now at a time when the world is entering another phase of turmoil for the next few years.

I will; in the times ahead; discuss how the hype around upcoming Jupiter - Ketu is only one part, bigger problems lie ahead for the whole world for the next 6-7 years until 2034, including and especially India.

But what you need to do in this time, is align with the energy being built by the cosmos and act accordingly, if the planets are telling you to be prepared and make a plan (Virgo) and persistently keep pushing forward despite slow results (Capricorn) then crying or worrying won't do any good.

Hard times can only be overcome by persistent struggle, and the tougher the times are; even greater the struggle needed to overcome it.

What I have noticed is this happens with Saturn connecting to 6th House / Lord as well.

This is why the saying "Shani Maharaj in 6th House is Shatru Hanta Yoga"

Big problems get broken into small problems.

This will work in transit as well.

When someone comes to me and is complaining about how "tough" life is and I see Saturn in 6th, I make them understand "buddy it can be even worse, you're getting off lightly, rather than getting hit by a truck you're just getting a scratch on a daily basis"

Many won't understand this until they see actual malefics like Ketu, Mars & Rahu in 6th
