@XBellaNicoleX Haha definitely! I’m using Dabble to help me plot things out and I’ve imported the whole thing to get going again. Google Docs just wasn’t doing it anymore, with all the different parts to track.

I've been trying for MONTHS to get the next part of The Island written... but I am STUCK. I think it might be time for an edit (rearrange some things, add some points that were missed over the course of so many years)... writing a serial story is always a learning curve!

@RiahBott It’s the lack of accountability for me. I love a grey character who is treated as such… but everyone seems to be giving her a pass because of her trauma. I’d be kicking her out of my house and my life for the way she treats people. Not welcoming and excusing her.

Anyone here read the ACOTAR series? I’m 200 pages into ACOWAR and I’m about ready to shelve it as a DNF. I loved ACOMAF, but Nesta is totally ruining this one. She’s selfish, rude, obnoxious, abrasive, abusive… and no one holds her accountable. Do I continue, or put it away?

I don’t mind critics at all… when they’re constructive. If people have helpful advice or insights then by all means, help me do better. But I get a little cranky with people who criticize just to criticize. Like what good does that do? Why even waste your energy?

@judo_lin THIIIIIS. Sometimes I feel too sensitive (even though I’m not exactly upset, more irritated). I love criticism that is constructive but if all you’re going to do is bitch then move along.

And if I WAS 12 and new to writing, I know for a fact that this would’ve 100% shut me down

@judo_lin I prob shouldn’t have said anything because it’s 1 reviewer but really… anyone who’s been paying attention is FULLY aware that this story is a wee bit much. That’s exactly how it was intended.

It’s the assumption that I’m unaware of what I’ve written that does it for me 😂
