Rushford just isn't good enough dribbling to receive the ball stationary. Get him running at retreating defenders and chasing thru balls. Exploit his strengths!!

@Lionel_Lingard alonso got a lot of hype for his Leverkusen stuff - but I was always sceptical how those tactics/formations would fare when he got one of the top jobs
what do Brighton, Villa and Brentford do different to warrant the kind of continually good appointments and players - the amount of money they generate while still being competitive is mind boggling
Tonali is a good player but will never run you a game. But is he as good as Rice to warrant that price tag? Is he influential enough? In fairness he is a great cog - good in on the ball, athletic etc
why does @footballontnt seem hell bent on ruining their best games with a football podcast masquerading as commentary - shut up lads!! let the game speak for itself
Jackson has an air of Darwin Nunez about him. Great runs, causes chaos - but too often than not lacks that final product.
If anyone can develop him it's Emery.
That Manzambi kid looks good too
Spurs go look like they have done some good business. Van Hecke great on the ball. Fernando's looks mint. Architecture Grey is exciting prospect. Savio and Marmoush look dangerous
JJ Gabriel needs to relax man - at 15 anything can happen - the best 15 yo is not necessarily the best 25 yo - even into 20s anything can happen - look at likes of Foden and Grealish lately - don't wanna hear about anyone until they 17 - and then be content with a bit part - learn ur trade
look at Kobbie now - a few months on the bench and out of favour hasn't harmed his development - and likely was highly motivating too - with modern science many players can hope to playing deep into 30s fricking relax guys
there is so much to learn from boys to men's football - - Junior foot is about skill and speed - senior adds tactical and game awareness - all Prem footballers were probably the quickest and most skillful in their academy team too you know? - it takes getting used to for most
all this noise just pumps up the pressure on the kid too - still 6-7 years of developmemt to get right - might get short term cash going nuclear like this - but in the long run builds a narrative that few plays have managed to fulfil
what is the rush these days with young players? Being good at 15-16 is different to 17-19, and both of these are a huge step down from 21-24, where we start to find out if the youngster can earn his stripes.
football is a mqn's game. And the top levels are so much more tactical etc
Being able to rinse it up in U18s is not the same as being able to do it against Prem standard opposition.
No longer are you the quickest, strongest or most intelligent player on the pitch.
JJ Gabriel needs to chill out and earn his stripes. For every young talent success story you can name 10 who withered into obscurity.
Putting to much strain on young growing bodies can also limit careers at the other end too
