🚨 Power BI Analysts: Some of your reports are about to break.

If you’ve ever used Map 🗺️, Filled Map 🗺️, Q&A 💭, or Web Service connections in Power BI…
this post is for you 😅

Microsoft is retiring some of these features.

That means:
• Maps that once “just worked” may stop rendering
• Q&A visuals you relied on will disappear
• Web-based data connections will need re-engineering

And yes… some reports will need to be reworked.

I’ve already started auditing my own reports/dashboards and making changes:
• Replaced Map & Filled Map with Azure Maps 🗺️
• Prepared for Q&A visual deprecation by leaning into Copilot
• Refactored Web Service connections to proper API-based integrations

This isn’t just busy work.
It’s Microsoft nudging us toward more scalable, enterprise-ready Power BI solutions.

👉 The analysts who adapt early will look like heroes.
👉 The ones who ignore it will be fixing “broken dashboards” under pressure.

My advice:
Audit your reports now, not when stakeholders start asking questions.
