Where would this world be without indigenous peoples protecting waters and land from destruction.
I’ll tell you, we would be in a more global climate emergency, if there was not protections from environmental in the last 100 or so years from indigenous rights and preventions
Doug ford needs to move on, Ring of fire well never happen (if not done right) with environmental protections and safe guards

#NeskantagaStrong#WeLoveOurLand
Neskantaga First Nation is firm on its position, we have principles that has been passed on to us by our elders and ancestors and we are not about to give up what we have been destined to uphold for our people, animals, our fresh boreal forest. And let's be clear on something, an email, or a simple "hi" reply is not consultation, we want face-to-face engagement processes from governments and mining companies before any drill or bulldozer ever hits the grounds. No government official that is pushing "the ring of fire" has ever had the courage or respect to come to our community to face the people and answer their questions, they have the right to know what goes on on treaty territory. Neskantaga representatives will be speaking in opposition to Bill 5 to the Standing Committee on May 22 and 26, 2025 in Toronto.
