As a blind journalist publishing on @substack, I expect blind readers to be able to access my workโespecially when the article itself is about accessibility and systemic exclusion.
Right now, Substack is not reliably screen-reader accessible.
Blind readers are being blocked from accessing articles they intentionally clicked on. That is not a minor issue; it is active exclusion.
Substack positions itself as a platform for independent journalists and public-interest writing.

Im 21. Sure i might be disabled but i dont have any terminal illnesses.
And to make it worse she also wants to drag me to heaven. Im not Christian and havenโt been for 7 years. I feel disgusted this is how my mom treats me-๐พ

Resource for those who cant get an in person trainer at the moment but still need the lessons. Eventually i will also go over braille and my experience living in a state with little support for blind people (at least in my specific area) let me know if this is something you want
Got myself a free O&M course because im the pilot tester for it. I will be documenting my experience with it and give pros and cons of the virtual courses. This is just the basics of how to use the skills in the course. i will go over some things the course doesnโt cover such as-
Different cane tips how to measure the size of cane you need as well as how to incorporate the lessons into actions in a safe manner. This virtual course will give you the foundation you need for in person training this is not the end all be all of courses but it is a good
