How come @Microsoft Word autodetects what it thinks is German (but isn't) and offers to spell check it, but it hard-defaults to US English no matter how many times I try to change the settings to Canadian permanently?
I wrote my dad in an email about how I missed thunderstorms (they happen much less frequently here than in Houston), now there's a thunderstorm. Three guesses what I wrote him next that I missed.

Normally I post something half-heartfelt and half-mocking wishing all my USaire friends a happy Yankland day, but lately I've felt like you people have been Doing It Wrong, so less inclined to be heartfelt.
Then again, the vast majority of you to whom this would be relevant and would actually read this aren't directly to blame for that state of affairs, so I am less inclined to mock.
My process is simple: arrange my waterfowl such that they are co-linear, bombard my brain with trimethylxanthine and music containing a large variety of frequencies and a high number of beats per minute, then proceed methodically.
