ANNOUNCEMENT:

At approximately 2:00 AM UTC on December 19, the Moonveil team detected suspicious and unauthorized transactions originating from our node / staking contract creator wallet address.

The team immediately initiated an investigation. We have confirmed that the deployer wallet was compromised. Within roughly one hour, the attacker extracted 55M+ MORE tokens from the node reserve and began gradually selling them on DEX platforms. After that,  approximately 14.9M MORE were sold, 7.40M MORE were deposited to MEXC, and 34M MORE tokens were unexpectedly sent back to us, without any prior notice or communication.

Immediately after identifying the issue, we took the following actions:

- Contacted @binance team to assist in monitoring the attacker’s wallet address and to help restrict any potential transfers or off-ramping of funds.

- Removed liquidity from all DEX pools and cancelled all active CEX orders to prevent further market impact.

- Contacted MEXC team to freeze of the affected MORE tokens.

Important Notice to the Community:

- Please DO NOT trade MORE on any DEX pools until this matter is fully resolved and an official update is provided.

- We will continue to share verified and confirmed information as it becomes available.

This is a high-level initial update to keep the community informed. Further details will be shared once the situation has been fully assessed.

It’s really unfortunate — and honestly quite disappointing — to see how Gate handled the $MORE perps situation. From the very first day $MORE perps went live after TGE, to their sudden delisting on October 7, there was never any material communication from the Gate team.

We understand that many CEXs have their own internal processes regarding perps without early notice to projects, and we can respect that. But when there were still $2–3 million USD value in open interest, including a lot of our long-term supporters and investors, making the decision to delist with less than 24 hours’ notice, and almost no dialogue, inevitably caused a wave of forced liquidations. Some users didn’t even have time to react to the announcement before their positions were closed. From our side, it was almost impossible for our market makers and us to well prepare for such a shock in that short window.

Even so, we still believe what this industry needs most are builders who keep building. Since our TGE, the journey hasn’t been easy, but we’ve stayed true to the direction we believe in — proving our commitment through real actions:
- Starry Sort hit the top of the download charts in several regions right after its first test.
- Bushwhack received amazing feedback during its community test — some KOL rooms even got so full people couldn’t get in.
- We’ve kept delivering, testing, and launching multiple products. Our mini-game Puffy Match is now officially live on LINE Mini App.
- We’ve been constantly improving node performance based on community feedback and directly subsidizing node operation costs.
- Our staking features keep evolving, further strengthening the real utility of $MORE.

All of these are the small but steady steps that show what we’ve been building all along.

Through this sudden black swan event, we also saw the trust and support from our partners and community — and that truly touched us.
- Huge thanks to Ann @A_unicornverse and the UnicornVerse @unicornverse_io team — true diamond-hand believers who’ve been patient and unwavering in their support.
- Almost no one in the UX community @unicornxdex chose to sell their $MORE.

非常遗憾、也非常惋惜地看到Gate对于perps的处理方式。从TGE首日Gate上架perps，到10月7日下架，整个过程中Gate团队从未与我们有过任何沟通。我们理解在行业内，很多CEX都有类似的操作流程，这一点我们也能体谅。然而在Gate perps仍有2至3百万美元未平仓头寸、且其中包含大量长期支持我们的用户和投资人时，仍然选择在几乎没有提前沟通、不到24小时的通知下直接下架，这无疑会导致多头仓位被迫集中平仓，或部分用户因未及时关注公告而遭遇强平。从我们自身的角度，无论是让MM或合作方准备，都几乎不可能在如此短的时间内承受这样的冲击。

即便如此，我们依然相信，这个行业最需要的是那些持续建设的builder。从TGE以来，我们的道路并不平坦，但我们始终坚定地走在自己认定的方向上——一步步用行动去兑现承诺：

[Official Statement on the Recent MORE Perpetual Contract Delisting and Resulting Price Volatility]

During October 6–7 (UTC), the MORE token experienced an unexpected and significant price drop and volatility. We would like to provide a detailed and transparent explanation of the situation to our community members, investors, and supporters.

TL;DR

At 08:39 UTC on October 6, Gate announced the delisting of 15 perpetual contracts, including MORE. Our team immediately reached out to Gate for clarification. However, Gate did not provide any concrete explanation or technical reason, only stating that the decision was final and made by its perpetual contract team.

Even more concerning, there was less than 24 hours between the announcement (Oct 6, 08:39 UTC) and the forced liquidation (Oct 7, 08:00 UTC). During this short period, MORE had an open interest of roughly $2–3 million on Gate. Closing this volume of positions in such a limited timeframe was extremely difficult, leading to large-scale forced liquidations on October 7 and severe volatility in the spot market.

More Details

We fully understand that this sudden event caused confusion and losses for many who believed in MORE. Below is a complete and factual summary of what we know so far:

1. Gate made no prior communication with our team before issuing the announcement. The delisting notice was only shared via a public post, which received very limited visibility. Many users did not see it in time and were directly force-liquidated, suffering significant losses during the rapid price drop.

2. The open interest of MORE was significantly higher than most other tokens included in the announcement, with a large number of users still holding active positions on Gate. Upon seeing the notice, we immediately reached out to the Gate team, requesting clarification and repeatedly proposing a smoother delisting process to help minimize user losses.
Unfortunately, Gate responded that this was the final decision made by its perpetual contract team and could not be reversed. We believe Gate’s handling of this matter lacked communication, transparency, and basic user protection, especially given the foreseeable market impact of such a short liquidation window.

3. Throughout this entire period, the MORE Foundation, investors, major holders, and core community members (including the UnicornX community) did not sell any tokens. In fact, some have continued to increase their holdings.

Our Position

While this event came as a complete surprise to the team and community, our position remains clear:

- Moonveil’s fundamentals, ecosystem development, and token structure remain fully intact.
- We will continue engaging with exchanges to ensure greater transparency and accountability.
- We will do everything within our power to protect our users and token holders.
- We will strengthen our multi-exchange strategy to ensure no single platform can unduly impact our market or community again.

We want to sincerely thank everyone who continues to believe in and support MORE during this volatile period. Short-term turbulence does not change Moonveil’s long-term value.

我们充分理解这次突发情况给许多看好 MORE 的用户带来了困扰与损失，因此希望就我们目前掌握的情况，向大家作出坦诚、完整的说明：

1. Gate在发布此公告前，并未与项目方有任何沟通，且仅通过公告的方式通知用户，曝光度严重不足，许多用户并未及时看到相关通知，直接遭遇强制平仓，在价格短时波动中蒙受重大损失。

2. MORE的OI数额显著高于其他项目，在Gate的合约上仍有大量用户持仓，在看到公告后，我们立即与Gate团队进行联系，询问原因并多次希望能以更平稳的方式处理下架事宜，以减少用户的损失。遗憾的是，目前 Gate 回复这是其永续合约团队的最终决定，无法更改。我们认为，这一突发事件上Gate团队的处理方式严重缺乏沟通，缺乏透明度，更重要的是缺乏应有的用户保护机制。

3. 在整个过程中，截止此时此刻，MORE基金会、投资人、绝大部分鲸鱼及核心社区（包括UnicornX社区等）均未有卖出行为，部分还在持续净买入。

虽然这次事件对团队和社区都是一次始料未及的冲击，但我们的立场十分明确：

- Moonveil项目的基本面、生态建设与代币结构均未发生任何实质性变化。
- 我们将继续与各个交易所团队保持沟通，确保更高的透明度。

Over the past few days, there’s been some controversy around UV/UnicornX @unicornxdex @unicornverse_io . As a partner working closely with them, I want to share a few personal thoughts.

What UV is doing is something very few are willing to take on in this industry: putting their own understanding and resources into combining product, DEX, and community—creating alignment across projects, trading, and users. It’s not an easy path, but it’s exactly this kind of integration that can build long-term resilience. When controversies, setbacks, or even bad actors appear, what ultimately matters is the support of the community and the reputation built over time. And this is the conviction that will support the industry in the long run.

The recent AFT delisting is a good example. The project didn’t perform well, but UV decided to directly compensate users. Not everyone will be satisfied, but it shows their intent again to protect trust. And the community will remember this.

To me, UV isn’t perfect, and nobody can be. But Ann @A_unicornverse and the team are genuinely willing to take responsibility and commit for the long term. With UnicornX’s product and community, they’re working to build a real trading ecosystem. That kind of role is rare in this industry—and necessary.

When I saw UniCall choose $CYC, it brought me back to the moment when $MORE was first called.
