Good news, Georgia will soon have 3 new license plates. We passed HB1391- honoring all Public Safety personnel and, HB 524-supporting GIRL SCOUTS everywhere and, Celebrating the nations 250th Birthday With Purpose.
House Speaker Mike Johnson denied a request for Rev. Jackson Sr. to lie in state at the U.S. Capitol, citing a policy limiting this honor to former presidents. The decision reverses the precedent set when Rosa Parks became the first citizen to lie in honor in the Rotunda.
