Once Firefighter/EMT/Captain. Former President of TPFFA & TN AFL-CIO Labor Council. TN House of Reps from 2005-12. Running for Nashville Metro Council at-Large.
I retired from the Army in 2018 after serving for 21 years. If you are a Republican who supports money being stolen from the military and used for The #TrumpWall, do me a favor.
Stop thanking me for my service.
Stop saying you support the troops.
Because you’re full of shit.
Today’s ‘Fighting For Worker Safety On & Off The Field.’ We discussed importance of unions & history of #NFL union. They gave us our workplace safety, 40 hr work week, vacation days, & sick leave. These are core American values we should enshrine for our hard workers in Nashville https://t.co/GrqqhM0sLK
This morning I had a lovely breakfast with a bunch of good people and a lot of great friends at the @nashvilledems Spring Breakfast. We got to hear from the Mayoral candidates, as well as leaders in the community about the work that needs to be done here in Davidson County.
I sat in on a great discussion with @SandraForNash about the experiences workers in the fastest growing city in the country, Nashville - the IT city. It was also great to meet the Pres of @TNYoungDems. I’d also like to congratulate @MayorBriley on a successful kickoff. Good luck!
Today was a very eventful day. I had breakfast with and listened to @JohnCooper4Nash give a great speech. Then I had a blast at the @Team4Harper “Kids are Special Too” Easter Egg Hunt. I was overjoyed seeing the happy, smiling faces of these children today. #HappyEaster everyone!
Thanks Gary, it was great to catch up & remember when you and I sponsored legislation together. Thanks for being one of our Gold Sponsors this year!
This evening, I got to support a friend and learn about some pressing issues. I saw my good friend Vivian Wilhoite (@wevotevivian) and listened to a vital discussion about the zoning changes in District 29 with Delishia Porterfield. #MoreForNashville#MooreForNashville
Enjoyed learning about what TOSHA does to make workplaces safer at the @NashvilleCLC monthly luncheon. @Moore4Nashville also spoke to use about why he wants to be Council at Large.
I attended an informative community town hall on I-440/other transportation issues. @SenatorGilmore, Rep. Jason Potts & others discussed improvements to our infrastructure system. Navigating our city is getting more difficult by the day, & as it continues to grow, we must keep up
Thank you to all the businesses & local restaurants who participated in the Dine Out for Life event across Nashville & joined forces with @nashvillecares to fight HIV/AIDS throughout Middle Tennessee. Thanks for having me today @Jim4ViceMayor & @SeanForFive! #MooreForNashville
