Somehow Nate Wiggins had the 2nd slowest 10 yard split of the DBs (1.59) but an unreal 40 time (4.29). That closing speed is absurd #NFLCombine2024

@PFF_Sam @coachkelley1 It can only be a consistent system if the same person is watching every player, but with the 10s and 100s of workers creating player grades how can it be consistent at all?

@MoveTheSticks Do you see Dallas Turner playing as an edge in 4-3 or is he better suited as an OLB in a 3-4 since he often lined up in a 7/9 technique in college?

@abrum2414 @benbbaldwin Taking a standardized test is a lot different than watching a play and saying if it was good or bad. PFF has no idea what each player is coached to do on every play which just results in educated guessing. So why would an NFL team care about what they think?

@15NickyB @benbbaldwin I feel like everyone agrees that the grading is way too subjective but when this is brought up everyone who works at PFF comes out and defends it as if their life depends on it. It feels like a cult

@Duder47774 @PFF_Sam @benbbaldwin @BrettKollmann They just want to feel like their player grading has a real impact on the game when all teams want is the tangible data they create. Which a lot of other companies do as well

@NFLPinnacleBeat @benbbaldwin Because they don't need to. They watch based on necessity as in their future opponents or potential targets. Every position coach and position room watch film on their opponent and come to their own conclusions without just using PFFs grades. They use their data but that's it

A. Opponent Scouting, which they do every week on their own
B. Free Agency, where they watch all the film themselves
C. Trade Targets, where again they watch the film themselves
So why use grades?
