In March, 7 students came to school on a Sat for Conundrum Day to make Bluebird Nesting Boxes. One excited student just sent me this, “When I open the birdhouse...We’re gonna have some baby bluebirds!!!!!” Making connections, pic of his female, pic of clutch in my box.

@Sci_Rem @PennCapitalStar Subs want more pay to teach during pandemic? What about hazard pay for teachers? Our Teachers had pay raises taken away & do not have safe measures for F2F instruction. Will not have enough subs/bus drivers/safety precautions taken. I.e. No cleaning classrooms between changes.

We have been working on a 1950’s Cold War unit & students brainstormed how the corona virus may have spread and been addressed, then vs now. Each class, students want to start with updates, news, concerns, and a discussion of the CV-19. Running out of room. Knowledge is power.

Robotics is an academically challenging sport! These kids put countless hours into programming, research, presentations &team building skills. Robotics deserves more recognition for preparing students for LIFE. And, after 8 hrs of competing, they still have this much energy!
