@MartinSLewis Depends on the degree and the number we're sending to uni. Those that genuinely need a degree (medics, vets, architects, law etc), top grades for some e.g. sciences, IT, languages to facilitate the next gen of brains - all state. For others then individual or employers
@bunsenbernerbmd I see you. And love the way you're preparing yourselves, and us, for what must come. May that day remain nothing but a shadow on the horizon for a long while yet.
@bunsenbernerbmd Did you see the science earlier this week about labs and humans sharing the genetic code for overeating?

My labs were part of the study! We filled in surveys and sent their DNA swabs.
(Photo: I think they heard a crisp packet opening!)
@birchpolypore@MartinSLewis My Mum (now 79) remembers her Granny's and has fond memories of the call being passed through the exchanges until it reached Dunphail 220.
BTW I live in a small village and have a three digit number - as long as you know the village prefix that is.
@MartinSLewis@itvMLshow Could you look at the NHS Continuing Healthcare? Who qualifies, who doesn't and how to apply - I'm currently trying to work through this for my 79 yo Mum who's recently moved into a nursing home after a longish stay in hospital. We're in England.
@DTScholars I have a question for you - my dogs wear light up collars at night, does the colour make any difference to their sight?
I know red light doesn't impact human night vision but does coloured light affect dogs night vision and if so any more than others?
@MartinSLewis Never have - I don't work in that sort of industry, not sure suit and tie would be H&S approved for bird surveys on a peat bog in the early hours or fossil hunts with 30 under 9s on a windswept beach. And not expected for meetings either.
@EE we (that's people in the village and the Parish Council) have done - multiple times! And written and emailed. We've even spoken to our MP who has been in touch with you as well. But still dodgy coverage and more importantly no generator.
@ruskin147 What about "your" letters addressed to a GP who's long retired from the practice but when you query it you're told "it doesn't matter who it's sent to"?
@bunsenbernerbmd here are my three, Flora (7yo) in the pool, Hester (11yo) looking majestic and my goober, Stella (3yo) looking not so goobery. all are UK working dogs so a lot lighter than many others. Super bright, need challenges and exercise to prevent them becoming "self-employed"!
@GraemeDogfather@channel5_tv We had an Irish Wolfhound who similarly refused to get in the car, obviously picking him up wasn't an option!! Cue lot of silly games involving his breakfast, dinner, treats and companion labradors. Took a while but he got over it.
@bunsenbernerbmd Vets and nurses (UK) are amazing. My lab, Flora, has been battling pancreatitis and liver problems for the last year, we did her regular check up blood tests on Friday at 9 am at 10.30 I got an email with the results! All good, we are ALL so happy!
@MartinSLewis We've been offered similar at work, both here on X and by Meta. We opted not to take the cash (even to donate it) as we thought it could possibly be seen as affecting our impartial status. Integrity matters more than pounds.
@bunsenbernerbmd Here in the UK the wonderful @AnimalCareTrust part of the @RoyalVetCollege have a dedicated blood transfusion and research unit. After 20 years they're hoping to build a new home for the team, find out more https://t.co/2sygDaaSsu.
@MartinSLewis recently found a nearly full book of old special stamps being used as a bookmark, I think they're from when I was at uni in the pre-email days when I'd send home a postcard most weeks. No price on them just 1st, so I assume they're OK to use. I guess we'll find out!
