Please join us in congratulating SMAC's Isaac Elkington for completing his first Ultra marathon! 100km in stifling heat, 27°C, the chalk reflecting the heat. Heatstroke at 75km, not keeping down food or drink. But... he battled hard, finishing in an astonishing 12:42:43 🏆🎉👊

Yesterday SMAC's Rob Bond took on the spectacular Cannock 50k Ultra Marathon. This incredible route was all trail, surrounded by woodland and epic views. Rob powered home in an amazing 5hrs and 42mins, despite climbing over 1000m - a brilliant effort, well done 👏

Huge congrats to SMAC's Pete Springett on finishing 6TH in today's Carsington Water Half Marathon! This is a tough route but Pete managed it in a super quick 1:34:43 - great effort! 🏃‍♂️😁

It was the Three SMAC Musketeers at this morning's Monsal Trail Parkrun! It's a lovely flat trail route with some beautiful scenery. Coffee and cake afterwards was a delight! Next week we hit Macclesfield Parkrun, leaving Birchall at 8:10am if you want a car share 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Wooooaaaah... what a kick off we had to SMAC's Summer Series 2022 at Tittesworth! After being off for the last couple of years, we were so pleased to welcome runners back to the series. We've been bursting with exciting to get going! Thank you to all runners and volunteers 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

An adventure 5 years in the making... this is SMAC's Jocelyn Granger, completing 101.1 miles in 36hrs 22mins over this weekend for the Trans Pennine 100. Simply INCREDIBLE! We're all super proud of you for this inspirational effort, well done 👏

As a club we made our official @parkrunUK debut today! First up on the SMAC tour was Ashbourne, a new addition to the Parkrun circuit. With thanks to the organisers and marshals. Next Saturday, we hit Monsal Trail! If you fancy joining us, we'll be leaving Birchall at 8am 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Last night for our Team Thursday social run we ventured up The Cloud! The climb was worth it for the stunning views on top 👌 This is our last Team Thursday for a couple of weeks as our flagship race series returns to Tittesworth next Thursday. There's still time to enter!
