@bonykneesxx The difference is crazy. And my MIL is a single mom, my husband is her only child. She struggles financially a lot, my parents don't. Yet they can't be bothered to even call or send a text to check up on my son. It's sad.
I keep seeing this whole “your parents aren’t free babysitters” “you’re not entitled to their time” argument in regards to the boomer discourse and I’m just wondering why yall are putting a nefarious twist on what we’re really trying to say?
it’s not about free babysitting. I love my children. They’re amazing. I don’t enjoy being away from them. I am seriously so blessed I cannot put it into words. And I want the other people in my life to experience them, to know them and love them, and form independent relationships and memories with them. My husband told me tonight that weekends spent at his mamaw’s house seemed so boring at the time but looking back they’re some of his fondest childhood memories, the simplicity and peacefulness. I hardly ever saw my grandparents growing up but when I did they went out of their way to make sure we had a special trip, spoiled us, and truly enjoyed us.
So no I couldn’t give a shit less about free babysitting. I care for you to want to spend time with my kids. Would it be nice for them to recognize hey maybe she’d like a date night with her husband or an afternoon to relax and get those household errands done that are piling up and stressing everyone out? Sure! But ultimately it’s about my KIDS, not about me and I find it kinda telling they see it so differently lol
@CircadianCrystl My psychiatrist knows about my substance abuse history, just got sober from alcohol 3 months ago. She also knows I smoke weed daily. Shockingly, had no issues getting stimulants from her. I thinks it's all about finding the right doctor!
@potatoslav I'm screaming LOL. Soo true! We find amazing things in upper Bergen county. We just got a $500 dog stroller for $80, she was selling it for $200 and I gave her a fake sob story about how my dog needed it. It's actually for my cat HAHA
@intp_lola My hair is like this too. I was very blonde as a kid, it got darker as I got older. Now it's a dirty blonde/dark blonde. My son is also blonde as well. And people like to claim I have light brunette hair lol nooooo!!
@Infernalle Damn that's expensive! Do you live in a legal state? Tinctures are great too. Arloom brand has one that's 1000 mg and lasts me a long time. It's about $50 here at the dispo in NY!
@RyanTalksAutism@LickshotLippy This is so true! I was on anxiety meds more months, kept having symptoms. Started seeing a therapist who suspected I was ADHD. she sent me to a psychatrist in house, saw her like 4 times before my ADHD assessment, and finally got my diagnosis last week. It took like 3 months
