@OneTopicAtATime Also, if you're going to put in the time to write a whole story, why not take a little extra time to come up with some original characters for it.
When I read fanfics it feels like I'm watching a little kid make their dolls kiss.
@OneTopicAtATime Fanfictions are not enjoyable.
1. If the person is real, then you are weirdly puppeting them around in often uncharacteristic ways while affecting how people view them.
2. If they are fictional, it's difficult to match the original author style to make them feel authentic.
@Charlierose78 Why not both? I find that if I only number them, then I can't quite remember what happens in which chapters. It makes it difficult to go back and find certain sections to reread.
@Astrotii Dare to break the traditional safety nets readers assume are in every story. For instance: most people assume the main character won't die because they're the main character. A twist could be killing the lead off unexpectedly and then following a side character until the end.
I've been out here thinking "Ftr 1:03am" meant "for the record it's 1:03am right now" and rr meant "right right" because that's one of my friend's catchphrases.
