Nancy O'Hara took the reins as administrator in May 1980. Under her leadership, the nursing center expanded with a 58-bed addition, and the Manor Greene apartments were built, with a unique 3-sided exposure, leading to a rapidly growing waitlist.

On February 2, 1975, some 3,500 people were greeted by staff and volunteers at Moravian Manor’s first open house. In addition to locals, several Moravian Churches hired buses to transport their members from distant congregations.
