My wife and I have started trading off watching the kids in the morning so we each get to go to 6:30am Mass a few times a week.
Such a simple habit that has completely changed our weeks.
Guy stopped me after Mass yesterday and asked for help staring an internal podcast for his company.
In 5 minutes we had a clear 12 month goal for the show and a repeatable structure to get there.
Maybe 10 years of podcasting wasn’t a waste after all.
@FeminaStudiosa I think if a 19 year old needed community so badly that their only option was the local Catholic young adult group it’s fine if they attend. Nobody cares
I notice catholic youth groups stop at 18/high school graduation and young adult groups start at 21. It's completely assumed every young person goes to college. And if not, too bad, no fraternizing with the adults even though you can go die in a war.
Kinda messed up, no?
@tannerdripjobs What is the biggest problem your ICP is facing? What’s keeping them up at night, distracting them at the dinner table?
It might be “inefficient driving routes” - it’s probably not though. How can you connect your solution to their biggest problem?
Nolan's obsessions with the non-linear storytelling gimmick really hurts this film. It jumps around so much, and spends so little time on any one particular moment or scene, that you never really feel like Odysseus is on an epic journey spanning many years. When he makes it home, you never feel like he's been gone for 20 years. The film does not capture the grandeur and scope of the original epic. That's why it feels rushed and too long simultaneously. The movie comes off like a rough draft. Nolan was searching for the actual story but never quite found it.
