AOC: One of the things that I find mind-boggling is that whenever we want to expand health care in this country, Medicare in this country, education, everyone’s first question in Washington is: How are we going to pay for this?
Yet every single year, the United States Congress rubber-stamps trillions and trillions of dollars in current and expanded spending without anyone asking at all: How are we going to pay for this?
By the way, the Pentagon has continued to fail every audit. They are paying for it with your health care and lack thereof.
So it’s about time that we flip the equation and start asking, How can we afford war after war after war?
Youth sports is more expensive than ever and the participation gap between low and high income families continues to widen.

@AOC: The trillion dollars in health care cuts that Susan Collins paved the way for is threatening the closure of our rural hospitals and our urban hospitals alike. But the first thing to go in every one of these systems is Labor & Delivery and OBGYN.
Maine voter: What are your plans on Day 1?
@AOC: We will be opening investigations into the heads of every single one of these agencies. We will never get our country back if we allow criminals to have cabinet seats in the United States.

@aoc: We need to get big money out of politics so that we can have qualified professionals making these reviews.
Maine student: How can we bring back more privacy online?
@TroyJackson207: "We need real regulation to protect people, especially young people. That's what the billionaires are spending money in Maine to prevent."
