We’re really proud to be #OPAL mentors and with so many schools getting on board in our area we wanted a special place to celebrate and share. Playtimes are so important to children and #OPAL helps make them the best they can be. #PlayMatters

A wonderful few sessions @raeburnprimary this week. What a team, what a school. It’s going to be a brilliant #OPAL journey, exciting times @OPAL_CIC fantastic playtimes every day, for every child.
@ComberbachNPS exciting meeting earlier this week planning grounds development that will make playtimes brilliant for all the children #OPAL#PlayMatters
@PrimaryGrove thanks for another fab planning session as you continue your #OPAL journey to making playtimes amazing for all the children all the time 🙌🙌
Thank you to Ben for making a special visit to present us with our platinum @OPAL_CIC award. This award means so much to our school community. A school where there is a strategic plan for play and where play is celebrated and embraced supporting our children’s mental health.
@rachmurrayplay@OutdoorPlay1 @OPAL_CIC A very well deserved Platinum Award, you’ve all worked so hard and it is a joy to visit and see the children so happy and engaged in such high quality play. 🙌🙌
An often over looked aspect of loose parts theory is that children like to make ‘places to be’ and ‘places to play’ with the loose parts not only to ‘play with’ loose parts. Love this @dave_mcpartlin
The brilliant thing about a generous supply of loose parts is that they support creativity and innovation as well as cooperation, negotiation, inclusion and problem solving. Oh, and fun, lots and lots of fun. 🙌🙌🙌
Our construction area has been popular this week! The children built a slope and developed it into a slide. They built steps to access and supported younger children to be part of the fun. They also had a fantastic system to get the seats back. #lotsoffun @OPAL_CIC @ludicology
Wow, what a school, what a team. Huge commitment and effort from all involved. Every where you look there is a richness of opportunity and everyone immersed real quality play. Play is key to children being well, and enjoying life. Simply magical. 🙌🙌🙌
We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the platinum @OPAL_CIC play award. OPAL really has transformed our playtimes and lunchtimes. Many thanks to our whole school community for supporting our strategic improvement of play for our children. @More_OPAL_
Mrs Trolan has been busy building a new shelter for children to use at break and lunchtimes. Lots of discussion has been had about what it could be used for! #OPALplay#play
