Special Meeting Cancelled
Notice is hereby given that pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.12, the City Council of Morehead City, North Carolina have CANCELLED the Special Meeting at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, for the purpose of a Budget Workshop.
Morehead City Government is taking Monday, May 25, to honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.
Our City Hall, Library and Administrative Offices are closed for Memorial Day. The Recreation Center is open from 8 a.m. - 12 noon.

A third budget workshop may be held on June 2, and the public hearing will be held June 9, after which the Council may vote.
The Splash Pad is now open for the 2026 season! You can find it at Shevans Park, at 1501 Evans St., for your young children to enjoy on these hot days.
