To be honest, I had heard of the code talkers before on the news but did not know who or what importance they were to our country and history. I almost feel embarrassed to even say that out loud but at least now I know right #nmhist
I found it interesting that the US Military used men from the Choctaw to use their language over the radios to prevent the enemy from understanding the communication going in and out. I never learned that in my high school history class. #nmhist
Collier was not liked by the Navajo due to he tried to control the amount of livestock that they were allowed to have and pushed unwanted policies on them. #nmhist
@jhrodarte@TKotlisky That's awesome to hear Jason! We didn't have any of that in California other than Spanish and French was offered in high school for 2 years. All my Spanish teacher liked to talk about was food haha
@TKotlisky I agree also, I think that Spanish in high school is not enough. If we can teach babies sign language we can teach them Spanish or another language as well :)
