Like this is such a SILLY conversation to have. “You can’t hide being black” “you can hide being queer”
I’m sorry but who exactly is being helped here? What is the goal of this conversation if not to powerscale oppression?
i have no better way to describe what catatonia and depression-induced fatigue is like besides just being sick. you can barely move or commit energy to anything. you feel physically and mentally cold all the time
The consequences of "you don't need to transition to be trans," people genuinely believe we are just changing our pronouns and dressing differently. So much "trans visibility" and yet everyone still knows absolutely nothing about actual trans people.
@JxK500 having a really bad niche is better than just being worse at a job than someone else, I suppose
you have a reason to run wobuffet vs something else, whereas the other two are just "why would you use this over cresselia, given the chance"
There’s a weird revionism going on where people claim that the level curve in Johto doesn’t exist because on Monday at 1pm I can call Youngster Joey and beat up a level 30 Raticate (the game gives you zero hints of the day/time)
i find it hilarious that after decades of squeezing every last drop of blood out of the middle class, now capitalists are complaining that not enough people are eating at restaurants, taking trips, using airlines, or buying crap from box stores.
Its interesting to me that a lot of ppl on this app seem to have arrived at the conclusion that homophobia and toxic masculinity have no real societal power
They have basically rejected the feminist observation that men are punished for behaving in “feminine” ways
It’s ironic that every time this discourse flares up the “you just don’t understand what it’s like to be Black, so your comparisons between racism and homophobia are invalid” crowd inevitably reveals a shocking (and obviously bigoted) ignorance about what it’s like to be queer.
I find the whole “which type of oppression is worse” debates silly but to believe homophobia isn’t systemic you’ll have to have such a narrow definition of “systemic” as to make it entirely useless.
If an event happens and someone told you there was a 1/134 million chance of it happening, your first thought should be that their model of the world is incorrect
