@fortelabs As someone who has been working on projects (books, grad thesis), knowledge graphs help my process because I use them to help me identify patterns and visualize where ideas have been clustering. I don’t get overwhelmed because I treat it more like an interconnected whiteboard.
@kadavy@samwoods@fortelabs I definitely agree with this. I started exploring PKMs when I was working on my graduate thesis, trying to connect disparate ideas. I do like to connecting the dots for fun, but because of the thesis, I had a specific purpose in mind so it took some of the pressure off.
I successfully defended my MFA thesis this week! I worked on a project that explored the concepts of branching narratives and hypertext games using Twine. Here are some of the characters I created. Next step, graduation! 🎓
@TessWOfficial@ThePhDPlace Oh wow, this isn’t my research area, but I just googled tinyML thanks to your post here and I’m looking forward to learning more about this! I’m an artist who has been researching training done by artists, so I’m intrigued.
Can you recognize the city?
This is a map of a game I'm making in the open source tool @twinethreads inspired by where I grew up. The main character ends up in an alt. universe that shares commonalities with memories of her home planet (Earth), and holds clues to get back home
I’ve been using Obsidian for notes since last summer and it has changed the way I think about how I think. It’s like, I always knew the “nodes” were there, in my mind but now I can see them. I’ve made 2 vaults so far and am about to start a 3rd. Experimentation is key, I think.
@Changaboi @_super_bass This is my most frequent dream experience too! In the dream I know the place and also, how the place connects to places in other dreams I’ve had before. It very much so feels like I’m moving through an actual world in a dream and it’s been consistent since childhood.
@_super_bass I’m almost always aware inside of a dream where I am physically in relation to a previous dream. For instance, if I’m near the coast, I know this coastline is near a town I’ve been to before. In the dream it feels like a memory. When awake, I still remember two distinct dreams.
@janechuffman Oh wow, this is so exciting to see as it’s something I’m very passionate about. I’ve done many versions of this but a few have adapted this one.
I look up places where I’ve been in life on Google street view and pull together parts of notes app entries to make poems.
