Congratulations to Annissa Essaibi George on being awarded the Joan C. Gallagher Legislator Award. This award recognizes a Massachusetts legislator demonstrating belief in the value of school libraries. #msla@MorganKeohane@BostonGlobe

This afternoon, I stopped by the Henderson School to drop off their donations from my birthday book drive for BPS Librarians. We need a full time librarian in every school. #citykidsread
In the last 10 months, educators have helped students process living during a pandemic, multiple acts of racial injustice, and full-scale assaults on democracy. All while being accused of being lazy and selfish for having concerns about unsafe working conditions.
This was the panel @BetsyDeVosED D.O.E. put together to discuss equity and other education issues with the #ntoy19 cohort. I hope Miguel Cardona’s team looks very different.
@MaryPopeOsborne@FirstBook Thank you so much for the Magic Tree House books! I can't wait to share them with my students and provide them with engaging at-home reading options!

Thank you @FirstBook for granting my wish! I'm so excited to add some more fabulous books focused on social justice, diversity & inclusion into our school library!
Me: What'd you do at school today?
The five-year-old: We met the librarian!
Me: Librarians are my favorite! Did she show you the library?
The five-year-old: No. She just showed us a video of a dinosaur eating a bunch of people.
Only speaking on behalf of myself here: I'm becoming more and more put out that DESE conveniently only remembers that school libraries and librarians exist when they are looking for more classroom space and teachers :/
The end of the school year is a natural moment for farewells. But for Maura O'Toole — a library paraprofessional leaving the Boston Public Schools after 14 years — the departure feels premature: https://t.co/zsMJ4dRIwu
