I bought mine from Google so I'm probably stuck with it if I don't like it, but still only a week in, so I'm going to keep using it and comparing it to other devices.
My Garmin Index comes I think on Friday, that's a dedicated sleep tracking device from Garmin, should be great for comparing sleep stage data.
I have been using the Fitbit Air for a week now, today it officially finished its calibration period.
I’ve been a WHOOP user for six years, so I’m wearing both and comparing the experience.
While I like the form factor of the Fitbit Air a lot, and the price, I do have a couple major issues with it.
I don’t want to write a while long post about it now so I’ll just share the main one.
WHOOP breaks down its analysis of my exercise into standard zones. For me, esp. when I’m doing race training, I really like to know how much time I spend in zones 2, 3 and 4.
Unfortunately the Fitbit Air just doesn’t seem to be able to provide this level of detail.
Here’s an example from my trail run this morning.
From WHOOP I can see I spent 12:42 in zone 2 and 13:56 in zone 3. The Fitbit Air shows I spent 25 minutes in Vigorous, which seems to be essentially mashing these two zones together.
I know this is a deal breaker for me and most other people who do zone training, it’s just not enough fidelity to be useful.
But I also get it, it’s cheaper, and this isn’t a feature everyone needs so it is what it is.
Or maybe I’m missing something, so if you know how to get zones to show up on the Fitbit Air, do tell!
Just made my first video with Grok Imagine 1.5, and wow, I'm really impressed.
I'm an engineer, this isn't something I've ever done before.
But I came up with a basic story, put together a handful of clips, and well, I know it's far from perfect, but heck, still pretty darn cool.
I call it - Grok Build to the Rescue!
